1. Acceptance of Terms
AskLeo is operated by NuMeal, Inc. (“AskLeo”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using AskLeo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, please don’t use the service.
2. Description of Service
AskLeo is an AI-powered platform that provides startup idea evaluation, pitch deck feedback, and related founder support tools based on the investment and startup evaluation frameworks developed by Leo Cui.
AskLeo is intended for informational and educational purposes only.
AskLeo is not:
- a licensed financial advisor
- investment advisor
- legal advisor
- tax advisor
- broker-dealer
Content generated by AskLeo is not professional legal, financial, fundraising, investment, or tax advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on it.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use AskLeo.
By using the service, you represent that:
- you are legally capable of entering a binding agreement
- the information you provide is accurate
- you will comply with these Terms
4. User Accounts
To use certain features you may need to create an account.
You agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information
- keep your account credentials secure
- notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security issues
Unless your subscription plan explicitly allows it, accounts are for one person — no sharing across users or organizations.
You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use AskLeo for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activities
- Submit illegal, infringing, or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or exploit the platform
- Use bots, scripts, or unauthorized automation
- Interfere with the security or operation of AskLeo
- Share account credentials in violation of your subscription plan
- Use AskLeo to build competing products or services
- Upload confidential third-party material you do not have rights to share
- Use AskLeo-generated content in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading ways
- Upload another founder’s pitch deck without their permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts engaging in abusive or prohibited behavior.
6. User Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of the startup ideas, pitch decks, documents, and other content you upload to AskLeo (“User Content”).
You grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your User Content solely to operate and improve the service.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
You’re responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload the content you submit.
7. Intellectual Property
The AskLeo platform, branding, software, prompts, evaluation frameworks, interface design, and related materials are owned by NuMeal, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- copy or reproduce the platform
- redistribute AskLeo-generated reports commercially
- resell access to the service
- create derivative products based on AskLeo without permission
Generated feedback and reports are for your personal or internal business use.
8. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
AskLeo uses AI systems, including third-party AI models, to generate responses and feedback.
AI-generated content:
- may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information
- does not guarantee fundraising success or business outcomes
- should not replace professional judgment or expert advice
- reflects probabilistic outputs, not factual certainty
AI-generated feedback may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.
9. Payments and Subscriptions
Certain features require a paid subscription.
By subscribing, you agree that:
- subscription fees are billed through Stripe
- subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
- you may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law
We reserve the right to:
- modify pricing
- change subscription features
- introduce usage limits or fair-use protections
We’ll give reasonable notice of material pricing changes.
AskLeo is under active development. Some features may change, be modified, or be discontinued during the early-access period.
10. Fair Use
Plans marketed as “unlimited” are subject to reasonable individual founder usage.
We may limit, suspend, or restrict accounts that:
- excessively consume system resources
- use automation to generate abnormal activity
- share accounts across organizations
- attempt to circumvent platform limits
11. Third-Party Services
AskLeo relies on third-party providers including:
- Anthropic
- Stripe
- Supabase
- Vercel
- Resend
Your use of AskLeo may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies.
We’re not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party services.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
AskLeo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
We don’t guarantee:
- uninterrupted availability
- accuracy of AI-generated outputs
- successful fundraising outcomes
- compatibility with your specific needs
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskLeo and its affiliates, employees, and contractors will not be liable for:
- business losses
- investment losses
- lost profits
- lost opportunities
- indirect or consequential damages
- data loss resulting from technical failures
Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to AskLeo in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to AskLeo if:
- you violate these Terms
- your use creates security or legal risks
- your activity harms the platform or other users
You may stop using AskLeo and delete your account anytime.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we’ll provide notice via the website or by email.
Continued use of AskLeo after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
